/ Routes / Mountain Passes

Karakoram. Deosai. Babusar. The roads are documented.

Three high-altitude corridors, each with a verified surface log, confirmed seasonal window, and a guide who has ridden them more than once.

Road-level wide frame looking straight ahead on Babusar Pass, packed earth transitioning to loose gravel under overcast white sky, mountain walls rising sharply on both sides, faint tyre tracks in the dirt surface, no riders visible — just the road itself

— Surface, Altitude, Conditions

No surprises. Every section logged.

Karakoram Highway — up to 4,693 m

Tarmac from Gilgit to Khunjerab, with two gravel interruptions near Attabad and Sost. Surface grade and condition checked each season before departure confirmation.

Deosai Plains — 4,114 m plateau

Packed earth and river crossings across the world's second-highest plateau. Wet crossings are mapped. Skill level required: intermediate minimum.

Babusar Pass — 4,173 m

Mixed tarmac and loose gravel. Open from late June through September — we ride within those dates and not outside them.

▸ Seasonal Window

These passes open once a year. Seats fill before that.

Confirmed departure dates run from late June through early September. Enquiries outside that window are noted for the following season.
